Shivagange Gangadhareshwara temple is situated in the mountain range of Shivagange.

Shivagange is a mountain peak with a height of 2640.3 feet and a Hindu pilgrimage center located near Dobbaspet, in Bengaluru Rural district. It is situated 20 km from the town of Tumakuru and 54 km from Bengaluru. The sacred mountain is shaped as a shivalinga and a spring flows near locally called “Ganga”, thereby giving the place its name. It is also known as Dakshina Kashi. The hill is having various temples such as Shivagange Gangadhareshwara temple, Sri Honnammadevi Temple, Sharadambe temple, Olakal Teertha, Nandi Statue, Patalagange and several theerthas such as Agasthya theertha, Kanva theertha, Kapila theertha are also found in this hill.

ಶಿವಗಂಗೆ ಗಂಗಾಧರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಶಿವಗಂಗೆ ಪರ್ವತಶ್ರೇಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು.

ಶಿವಗಂಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 2640 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹಿಂದೂ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಡಾಬಸ್‌ಪೇಟೆ ಬಳಿ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 54 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗು ತುಮಕೂರಿನಿಂದ 20 ಕಿ ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಒಂದು ಶಿವ ಲಿಂಗದ ಆಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲೇ “ಗಂಗಾ” ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಚಿಲುಮೆಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಎರಡರ ಸಂಗಮದಿಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿವಗಂಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರು ಬಂತೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವಗಂಗೆಯೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕಾಶಿಯೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಗಾಧರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ, ಹೊನ್ನಮ್ಮದೇವಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ, ಒಳಕಲ್ ತೀರ್ಥ, ನಂದಿಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಪಾತಾಳ ಗಂಗೆ ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ, ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥ, ಕಣ್ವ ತೀರ್ಥ, ಕಪಿಲ ತೀರ್ಥ ಮುಂತಾದ ತೀರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
