About Temple

Sri Kadu Malleshwara temple-Malleshwaram is on Sampige Road of Malleshwaram in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The locality of Malleshwaram has been derived the name from  Sri Kadu Malleshwara Temple. This temple was earlier known as Sri Mallikarjunaswamy temple. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva in the form of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy.

This temple is administered by Muzrai Department of Government of Karnataka.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾಡುಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂನ ಸಂಪಿಗೆರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯದಿಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರಂ ಎಂದಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಶ್ವರನ ಅವತಾರವಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಆರಾಧ್ಯ ದೈವವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ, ಕಾಡು ಮಲ್ಲೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವೆಂದೇ ಪ್ರಚಲಿತವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮುಜರಾಯಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
