Dwarka is one of the Seven Sacred Places known as Sapta Moksha Puris. It is also one of the temples of Chardham. Pancha Dwraka Temple-Somnath-Gir Yatra is a visit to important places where Lord Vishnu appeared on the earth in Sri Krishna Avatar and Jyotirlinga temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You will also be visiting the Gir National Park dedicated to the conservation of Asiatic lions.

Dwarka symbolically represents Sahasrara Chakra, as the name means Gateway that leads to spiritual union with the creator Brahma. Dwarka is one of the 108 Divyadesams mentioned in Nalayira Divya Prabandham.

Pancha Dwarka temples are spread over Gujarat and Rajasthan. Dwarka in Saurashtra, Bet Dwarka, Ranchhodraiji temple in Dakor, Srinathji temple in Nathdwara of Rajasthan and Dwarkadheesh temple in Kankroli are the important places covered in Pancha Dwrka Temple Yatra.

You can reach Ahmedabad or Jamnagar by air or rail and take up the Pancha Dwarka Yatra. Best time to visit these temples would be in the winter season that begins from November and continues up to February. Also, during the Krishna Janmashtami and Karteekmaas, the festivities are at the peak.
