Kodungalloor Devi Temple in Thrissur District is believed to be the centre of Shaktheya Upasana in Kerala. From Kodungalloor Devi temple, at a distance of 2 KM, on the eastern side, another grand Siva temple, Thiruvanchikkulam Mahadeva Temple locates. Out of 274 Shaiva Thiruppathies in India, only one is in Kerala and it is Thiruvanchikulam. Very near to this temple, on the banks of the back waters Sree Vidya Prakasini Sabha Srikumara Subrahmanya Temple situates. Lord Aarumukhan together with Srivalli is the main Deity here. He wears Nagaphanam on head. It is nowhere heard, an installation of Lord Muruga in 6 faces, and the same is the abundant fame of this spiritual centre. ‘He immediately responds’, (Vilichal Vilippurathu) is the qualification and adornment that can be given in words. In three storeys, the temple is built up. The 1st storey is purely as per Kerala style of Vasthu. The 2nd goes with Dravidian style and the last is Karnataka sculptural model. It is an overall conglomeration of the three. In Chuttambalam Lord Ganapathi, Lord Ayyappa swami, Goddess Devi and Nagadevathas are in different sanctorums. In the month of Kumbham on Bharani star day, the flag is hoisted for Annual festival. And, on Pooyam star day in Meenam, the flag is brought down. This Mahothsavam is Meenappooya Mahothsavam. 41 days’ Mandala Puja starting from Vrishchikam 1st is well celebrated, with Ayyappan Vilakku on the 1st day. Sree Narayana Jayanthi and Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi are the other two important fests herein. Naraseva Narayana Seva is the motto of the Sabha and they go with many social activities and educational programs together with scholarships. The old members of Sabha are distributed the old age pension etc. Funds are used also for relief programs.

കേരളത്തിലെ ശാക്തേയ ഉപാസകരുടെ മൂലസ്ഥാനമായി കരുതപ്പെടുന്ന കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂർ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 2 കിലോ മീറ്റര്‍ കിഴക്ക് മാറി ഭാരതത്തിലെ 274 തിരുപ്പതികളിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ ഏക ശൈവതിരുപ്പതിയായ തിരുവഞ്ചിക്കുളം മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് സമീപം കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂർ കായലോരത്ത് ശ്രീവിദ്യാപ്രകാശിനി സഭയുടെ വകയായ ശ്രീകുമാര സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. നാഗഫണം ചൂടി നിൽക്കുന്ന വള്ളിസമേതനായ ആറുമുഖനാണ്‌ ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാമൂർത്തി. ആറുമുഖത്തോടു കൂടിയ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ഭാരതത്തിൽ മറ്റെവിടെയെങ്കിലും ഉള്ളതായി അറിവില്ല. അതിനാൽ ഏറെ വിശേഷപ്പെട്ടതാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. വിളിച്ചാൽ വിളിപ്പുറത്തെത്തുന്നവനാണ് എൽത്തുരുത്തിനെയും അവിടെയുള്ള ഭക്തജനസഹസ്രങ്ങളേയും കാത്തു രക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ആറുമുഖനായ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമി എന്നാണു ഭക്തജനവിശ്വാസം. മൂന്നു നിലകളിലായാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം പണി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യഘട്ടം തികച്ചും കേരളീയ ശില്പമാതൃകയിലും രണ്ടാം ഘട്ടം ദ്രാവിഡമാതൃകയിലും മൂന്നാംഘട്ടം കർണ്ണാടക ശില്പമാതൃകയിലും കൂടി സമന്വയിപ്പിച്ചു പണിതിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ഗണപതി, അയ്യപ്പസ്വാമി, ദേവി, നാഗദേവതകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ഉപദേവന്മാർക്കു പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രീകോവിലുകളുണ്ട്. കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ ഭരണിനാളിൽ കൊടിയേറുകയും മീനമാസത്തിലെ പൂയം നാളിൽ മഹോത്സവമായി കൊടിയിറങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മീനപ്പൂയ മഹോത്സവം, വൃശ്ചികം ഒന്നിനുള്ള അയ്യപ്പൻ വിളക്ക്, 41 ദിവസം നീണ്ടു നിൽക്കുന്ന മണ്ഡല പൂജ , ശ്രീനാരായണ ജയന്തി, ശ്രീനാരായണഗുരു സമാധി തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പ്രധാന വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷങ്ങൾ. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നടത്തിപ്പ് ചുമതല ശ്രീവിദ്യാപ്രകാശിനി സഭയിൽ നിക്ഷിപ്തമാണ്. നരസേവയാണ് നാരായണ സേവ എന്ന തത്വത്തിലടിയുറച്ചു കൊണ്ട് നിരവധി സാമൂഹ്യ സേവനങ്ങളും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസസഹായങ്ങളും സ്കോളര്ഷിപ്പുകളും സഭാ അംഗങ്ങൾക്ക് വാർദ്ധക്യകാല പെൻഷൻ തുടങ്ങി ദുരിതാശ്വാസ സഹായങ്ങളും സഭ നൽകി വരുന്നു.
