About Temple

Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in Dodda Banasawadi, Bangalore, Karnataka. The temple has over 200 years of history. The main deity of the temple is Sri Anjaneya Swamy. The original idol is about 5 feet in height with mangoes bunch in left hand that is made from saligrama Krishna rock and is seen in Veeranjaneya posture. In the temple premises, we can see other shrines of Lord Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Seetha Devi and Basaveshwara Swamy. A lot of devotees visit this temple during Bramharathothsava time. The temple administration is taken care by Muzrai Department of Karnataka.

ಶ್ರೀ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಾಣಸವಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು 200 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ದೇವರು ‘ಶ್ರೀ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ’. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಸುಮಾರು 5 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿದ್ದು, ಎಡ ಹಸ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾವಿನಕಾಯಿ ಗೊಂಚಲನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದು, ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಶಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ವೀರಾಂಜನೇಯ ಭಂಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮ, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ, ಸೀತಾ ದೇವಿ ಹಾಗು ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರಥೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ‘ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ದತ್ತಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ’ ಯು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.
