Sri Karanji Anjaneya Swamy Temple – Basavanagudi / ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯ – ಬಸವನಗುಡಿ

Sri Karanji Anjaneya Swamy Temple at Basavanagudi in Bengaluru is one of the most ancient temples with great epic and historical significance. The idol of presiding deity, Lord Hanuman, is a unique monolithic statue of about six-seven ft. high. This idol is said to be Swayambhu, which means that the idol was not carved or created by anyone. There is a Srirama temple near the main tower of this temple. Many devotees from across the country visit this temple every day and seek the blessings of Sri Hanuman, an ardent devotee of Srirama.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಸವನಗುಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಆರಾಧ್ಯದೈವವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಸುಮಾರು ಆರು-ಏಳು ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಏಕಶಿಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಗೋಪುರದ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಚಂದ್ರರ ದೇಗುಲವಿದೆ. ಆಂಜನೇಯನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವಂತಿದೆ.  ದೇಶದ ಮೂಲೆಮೂಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಲು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಪೂಜಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಹನುಮಂತನ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಎರಡೂ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತಾದೇವಿಯು ಅಶೋಕವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಚೂಡಾಮಣಿ ಇದೆ.

ಬಸವನಗುಡಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾರಂಜಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ನಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ಕೇವಲ ಎರಡು ಕಿ ಮೀ (2 km) ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
